E5 Basement Front Garden Design

The brief was to improve the overall look of the front garden and entrance with increased privacy and storage.  The existing basement had no planting, an uneven concrete floor and steps which came too close to the bay window to allow for easy access.

Bike storage has been positioned along the front boundary with Pittosporum hedging in bespoke planters and a green roof on the bike box providing privacy and colour.  The steps have been rebuilt to even dimensions and tiled with Gea porcelain to lighten up the space. A containerised Silver Birch tree and edible herbs in a window box add to the planting.

The entrance steps were waterproofed and paved with contrasting Florence Dark porcelain with striking Victorian mosaic tiles on the entrance step.
