E2 Canalside Planting Design

The brief was to rejuvenate the planting in four existing raised beds to encourage residents to use the communal garden and improve the views from the flats.

My design seeks to create a feeling of enclosure through the planting  This is achieved using taller plants which interrupt the views from flats to the canal and soften the hard landscaping. Existing plants have been sympathetically combined with new herbaceous perennials and ferns to create a naturalistic scheme which provides seasonal interest throughout the year.
