Christmas Gardening Gifts 2020

This year more than ever, people have really started to appreciate their gardens and spending time in them. With Covid restrictions likely to continue into the New Year, getting outside for exercise and socialising has never been more important. Here's my top 5 suggestions for the novice or experienced gardeners in your life. I've also tried to support smaller retailers this year and avoided the big 'A' with my suggestions.

  1. Steel fire pits from Not on the High Street - from £80

There's no excuse for hiding away inside with these simple but effective fire pits. Crafted from steel in a variety of sizes there is one to suit any outdoor space.

2. Okatsume 103 Bypass Secateurs from Niwaki - £42

These secateurs were rated as the best by Gardeners World magazine and are a favourite with Japanese gardeners

3. Kew Gardens Gift Membership from £81.00

Treat the garden lover in your life to a Kew membership which offers unlimited entry and 10% of gift shop purchases

4. Dream Plants for the Natural Garden by Piet Oudolf and Henk Gerritsan £13.99

This is a lovely book from two of the most famous garden designers responsible for New York's Highline and the Hauser & Wirth garden with their recommendations for the best plants for a naturalistic garden.

5. National Trust Vierno Diner Seed Bird Feeder - £9

It's really important to encourage wildlife into your garden in the Winter and provide food and water. This beautifully crafted bird feeder allows birds to eat whilst still having a good view of their surroundings.

I hope that these gifts can help provide some outdoor fun this Winter.
