I paid a visit to my N16 Victorian Front Garden this week to see how it was establishing 6 months on from the build, completed in Autumn 2021.
An elegant entrance has been created with sawn sandstone steps leading down a Victorian quarry tile path edged with rope edging to a new wrought iron metal gate. The doorway is flanked by two climbing Hydrangeas, complemented by my client's container displays.
Other Victorian detailing includes a London stock brick front wall with red brick detailing to match the house and wrought iron metal railings which match the gate.
Access to the bin store and flower beds is via a permeable gravel and sawn sandstone path which helps with water management within the garden.
The planting within the garden is predominantly shade tolerant, with focus on evergreen and coloured foliage providing all year interest. Viburnum bodnatense shrubs on either side of the gate will provide Winter fragrance when entering the garden.
I'm so pleased to see the garden looking so healthy and vibrant and I love that my client's Judith and Pat are obviously enjoying looking after the garden.
